It seems that both the number of people who access the internet from their mobile phones and the time they spend online is increasing at an unimaginable pace…..but we already knew this, right?
The interesting thing to me here is that in the top 10 sites visited, there is no local site. How strange! What does this mean for you and I? The race is on to produce a website that Kenyan’s will flock to. I suspect the same thing goes for PC users. We need a large uniquely Kenyan website. Will it be you who comes up with it? Why not?
Nice, since u do sites, I know that wordpress got a wap site plugin, or something close….but mobile sites are a must these days
You can, in fact, access this website via mobile. 😀
That list smells of BS. There is no way in hell, heaven or earth that Google misses out on a top 10 websites list anywhere(except China). I’d like to know how they got their stats.
I agree with you – it does seem fishy. But then again…I cannot recall the last time I went to http://www.google.com on my simu.
So true. Half the people are checking gmail on their phones everytime….so that also counts. And infact, google is ranked no.1 and most peeps use it to convert their big pages to readable mobile pages
Yap, this list is really false.
True list is,
1. google.co.ke
2. yahoo.com
3. facebook.com
4. google.com
5. youtube.com
6. blogger.com
7. wikipedia.org
8. live.com
9. twitter.com
10. tagged.com
Don’t ask me why google appears twice.
Reference: alexa.com, check it out when you can..
I believe that list is not the list for mobile websites, which is what this post was talking about. 🙂
But isn’t that for the internet in general rather than the mobile web?
This post was for the top sites accessed by mobile devices…ama?
Am posting this from operamini. I browse most of the time on operamini because of the low costs and high loading speeds. Its now possible to browse with ksh.0.90 for 30 minutes as long as you set images off:p visit my site http://kenyawap.xtgem.com i got some kitchen versions of operamini.
Thanks for the comment!
