Kudos to Kirima. I had also forgotten about GV and I think its a wonderful opportunity to launch our carnival.
I’m for your second suggestion: more of us should write for GV as well as cross post. This way, each ‘edition’ of the carnival will get maximum exposure.

Check out Kirima's latest post. He went ahead and did what you have done! A man of action no doubt. In the comments, Mentalacrobatics suggested he join the Global Voices team which does the sort of round up we were discussing here. I had completely forgotten about them. Instead of re-inventing the wheel, we could just have more of us write for them, and that would be the vehicle of the carnival. Or we could just cross post on our individual blogs and at GV. What say y'all?

A good idea doesn’t necessarily have to be initiated by a high profile blog. Anyone can do it, and with enough interest from others, it can grow. It’s just a matter of doing it, then enlisting others in publicizing it on their respective blogs. Then, just like they do over at the Carnival of Mathematics, every so often the next blogger up to do a post will pu t it up, and everyone involved can then direct people to the place from their own blogs. I’ve been thinking a lot about this and I think this would be a valuable addition to KBW. I think, however, it would work better if it started in one of the higher profil KBW blogs. Not many KBWers come here, lol. What do you guys think?

Actually, I am doing just that. I think if we had a KBW-wide carnical, it would be great and would help us know more about the less popular KBW blogs. Thanks for the link to the math carnival, I may participate.

You seem to be doing the Carnival thing on your blog. I've seen a few of these in other areas, but I guess we need one like it for KBW. A revolving responsibility type thing where posts touching on various things are summarised in one post with links to the various posts. Check out this Carnival of Mathematics as an example. Good stuff and thanks for the link love!
